Onkar’s attention to detail and skill is second to none. Communications between the practice and client are excellent. I’ve been wearing hearing aids for a few years and am now on my third pair, purchased from a well known national hearing aid company. I’ve never been able to hear as well as I might have expected and concluded it was either that my hearing loss was so severe or that the aids had not been set up properly, ever.  On reading up about this problem, I decided to find an independent audiologist and so made an appointment with Guru Hearing Care Specialists run by Onkar and his wife Mandip. I explained my problem to them and over the course of a few consultations, I had ear suction to clean my ears,  a full hearing assessment and my existing hearing aids completely reset.  I can now hear much better as I should have been able to years ago.

I can’t thank Onkar and Mandip enough and would strongly suggest that anyone buying hearing aids for the first time, or who are having problems with existing aids, to give them a try. I really don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

They did call within the stated time and offered me an appointment for the following morning. The service and staff are first class and fully explained the procedure for the micro suction for my ears which was an appropriate for my problem.  In future if I have any further problems I will return here as they are far more knowledgeable and caring than my own GP practice who offered no help to my problem and lacked understanding and empathy. I was recommended to go to Guru. Initially the most striking thing was Onkar’s enthusiasm for his products. He took time to explain how these particular aids worked…After comprehensive and rigorous testing he decided on the appropriate aids which were ordered and fitted…His policy is that for as long as it takes to fine tune the aids, he is on hand.  I was never made to feel I was being demanding or unreasonable.  I cannot overstate the levels of service from both Onkar and Mandip. I was about to write that after three months my aids have been tweaked and adjusted and modified and my hearing is now significantly better than it has been for some years – which was true. However this morning one of my dogs ate my hearing aids so Mandip has promised they will find me something to use until they are replaced!  Wonderful service, expensive but extraordinarily effective aids. Highly recommended.
